Fürstenberg - Tea service (10) - Alt Fürstenberg – Lottine - Hard porcelain

Very fine FÜRSTENBERG tea service set – ALT FÜRSTENBERG, in the “Lottine” pattern, made in fine German porcelain and adorned with the famous cobalt-blue pattern from the manufactory. Founded in 1747, the Porzellanmanufaktur FÜRSTENBERG is among the great historic German porcelain manufactures. The ALT FÜRSTENBERG shape, created in the 18th century, is distinguished by its elegant Rococo-inspired lines: generously rounded forms, double-curved handles finely shaped, and a lid knop in the shape of a rose. The Lottine pattern, catalogued by the manufactory under number 2497, reprises a historic floral motif inspired by Fürstenberg productions of the 18th century. It is executed in cobalt blue under glaze and hand-painted, offering the deep blue nuances characteristic of the glaze, perfectly highlighted by the whiteness of the porcelain. The lot comprises 10 pieces: 1 teapot with its lid, 4 tea cups, 4 saucers, and 1 small sugar bowl presented without its lid. The individual pieces bear the factory marks, notably the famous blue crowned F, accompanied by the designation “SEIT 1747” and the label “Lottine” on some pieces. These markings correspond to production in the second half of the 20th century. Approximate dimensions, based on the manufacturer’s references for the model: teapot approx. 22.3 × 13.5 × 14.2 cm, capacity approx. 1.10 L; cups approx. 8.1 cm diameter × 5.2 cm height, approx. 10.7 cm with handle, capacity approx. 17 cl; saucers approx. 13 cm diameter; small sugar bowl without lid approx. 8.3 cm diameter × 5.3 cm height. This set possesses much charm: the cobalt blue against white, the large rose adorning the teapot, the small flowers scattered on the cups and the delicate garlands surrounding the pieces create a particularly refined service. The sculpted handles and the floral knob of the teapot also testify to the care given to this historic collection. It will suit both a German porcelain enthusiast, a FÜRSTENBERG collector, and a beautifully set table. The service can of course be used, but it also has a true decorative presence in a display cabinet, a sideboard, or a classic interior. The set is presented in its current condition. Any signs of use, minor irregularities, and age-related marks are visible in the photographs, which are an integral part of the description. The sugar bowl is sold without its lid. Shipping will be carried out with special care given the fragility of the porcelain: each item will be protected individually, pieces will be separated from one another, and the set will be packaged in sturdy, suitable packaging to ensure optimal protection during transport. An elegant testimony to the know-how of the FÜRSTENBERG manufactory, combining history, fine porcelain, and traditional cobalt-blue decoration.
