Fritz Hansen Grand Prix Chairs by Arne Jacobsen, Set of Three

Originally introduced by Arne Jacobsen at the Designers’ Spring Exhibition in 1957, the Grand Prix Chair received its prestigious name after winning the highest award at the Triennale di Milano later that same year. The distinctive backrest features dramatic, angular wings that taper down into a narrow waist before fluidly broadening into a supportive seat. These sleek legs are straight, uniform cylinders that maintain an even thickness, extending downward with a controlled, stable splay that preserves the chair’s sharp, minimalist underframe while ensuring robust durability. It brings material simplicity, structural clarity, and timeless sophistication to the home, now available at Rehaus. Condition Notes: The chairs are brand new and in excellent condition.
