Atmosphere and Suggestions of a Nighttime Venice "M. Paris" corresponds to Maurice Paris (1903–1969) A French painter who signed Venetian views in a post-impressionist style and was a landscape painter. Historical data from over 230 appearances at international auctions show he had excellent technique and superb atmospheric rendering. He was an outstanding professional specializing in commercially popular subjects. Enchanting oil on canvas from 1979 from the prestigious “Galleria d'Arte Doria” in Genoa. Let yourself be enveloped by the mysterious charm of the Serenissima with this evocative work. The painting gives us an intimate, nighttime Venice, where the warm lights of the street lamps reflect on the calm waters, creating an atmosphere suspended in time. The bell tower and the Basilica rise against a twilight sky, while the Column of the Lion of Saint Mark watches over the silent city. The work is enriched by a substantial gilded frame, which enhances its preciousness. On the back, there is the original label of the “Galleria d'Arte Doria” of Genoa attesting to its authenticity and provenance. A unique piece for collectors and lovers of Italian art, capable of furnishing any space with style and elegance. Dimensions with frame 47 x 57; painting alone 25 x 35 Commercial value 300/350. The frame and any passe-partout are provided with the work as a courtesy. No responsibility is accepted for any damages.
