French school (XX) - Les porteuses d’eau africaines

French Contemporary School - Ethnic Style Modern - "Silhouettes of African Water Bearers" This elegant large-format oil on canvas adopts a vertical composition that is particularly graphic and modern. It features two female figures inspired by Africa, stylized in a clean, streamlined manner, carrying jars on their heads. The artist superbly plays with contrasts: the bodies, painted in a deep, matte black, stand out boldly against a gradient background of beige and cream tones, creating a soft and warm atmosphere. The adornments (necklaces, earrings, bracelets) and the draping of the skirts bring vibrant color touches—terracotta orange and raspberry red—enhanced by delicate gold geometric motifs in the corners of the canvas. With its symmetrical composition and minimalist aesthetic, this work adds a warm, chic, and contemporary touch to any type of interior. Specifications: • Artist: Signed "S.
