French School (XX) - 2x Bronze Ram Head -2.75 kg each

Set of 2 Bronze Large Ram Head Sculptures – France, 1970s - 2.75 kg each A striking pair of large cast-bronze ram’s head sculptures, dating from the 1960s and originating from France. Both examples are in excellent new-old-stock condition, having remained boxed and unused. The sculptures feature powerful modeling, finely incised fleece and facial detailing, and imposing spiral horns. Their dark brown bronze finish gives them a particularly strong and architectural presence. A highly versatile decorative set: the two ram heads can be wall-mounted as a symmetrical pair, for example on a garden gate, entrance, wall or architectural feature, or displayed individually/freestanding as sculptural objects. The substantial weight makes them especially impressive in an interior or garden setting. Details Object: Pair of ram’s head sculptures Material: Cast bronze Period: 1970s Origin: France Dimensions: approx. 18 × 20 × 15 cm each (H × W × D) Weight: approx. 2.75 kg each Condition: Excellent, new old stock; no cracks or structural damage Mounting: Suitable for wall mounting or freestanding display The bronze casting is confirmed by the characteristic yellowish bronze visible at a tiny, nearly invisible scratch on the underside, as documented in the 2nd to last photo.
