French school (XIX) - Paisaje Romántico

Title: Alpine Shepherdess ㅤ School: French School (19th century) ㅤ Style: Realist Romanticism / Alpine landscape ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas ㅤ Condition: Condition consistent with its age. Exhibits restorations. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The work is situated within the 19th-century French romantic-naturalist landscape painting and Europe’s fascination with grand Alpine landscapes. The panoramic breadth, the small scale of the human figure, and the prominence of the mountains emphasize the sublime dimension of nature. ㅤ It is a vast mountainous landscape in a horizontal format. Large mountain ranges partially cloud-covered occupy the horizon, while in the valley small buildings and a shepherdess figure accompanied by animals can be distinguished. The human scale is deliberately subordinated to the monumentality of the surroundings. ㅤ Wide wooden frame with a light gilded finish and sober-lined moldings, suitable for the panoramic format of the composition. ㅤ Observations: ㅤ The work, due to its age, may have restorations. ㅤ The piece may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such case, we will require photographs of the damage to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by an extra charge for reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge ㅤ The courier that must pass the Swiss border may be much slower than normal, so, if possible, to accelerate processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the customer can unlock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments it is possible that the order is delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging ㅤ Dimensions: 44.5 x 53.5 cm Dimensions with frame: 59 x 68.5 cm
