Carl Nacke (1876–1953) porcelain casket with polychrome decorations and gold by Fraureuth Kunstabteilung, production datable to around the 1920s. Design by Karl Nacke, 1920, green factory mark, ribbed cylindrical body and matching interlocking lid with fill-in elements in a frieze shaped like a tongue and a pensive Cupid with a bow as the lid knob, three-dimensional, decorated with blue-yellow enamel painting and a gilded edge as a partial background or oval medallions with stylized flowers, gilding on the knob partially worn. Kunstabteilung was founded in 1916/1917 in Germany to produce fine art porcelain, figurines and high-end decorative objects. The Fraureuth main factory (operating since 1866 and converted into a joint-stock company in 1891) decided to create a dedicated art department to meet the growing demand for artistic porcelain and collectible figures. Expansion to Wallendorf (1919): In 1919 Fraureuth AG acquired the historic Wallendorf porcelain factory (Lichte/Wallendorf) and moved much of its Kunstabteilung there. Dresden Laboratory (1917–1926): A decoration and painting workshop was also established in Dresden for premium finishes. In excellent condition with no breaks. Dimensions are: height 20.7 cm, diameter 21 cm. Careful worldwide shipping with UPS, DHL or FedEx.
