Superb, exceptional, large and antique Vienna massif bronze, cold-painted, depicting a mallard. This authentic piece bears firstly the "Austria" stamp, then the famous amphora with a "B" of the sculptor and founder Franz Xaver Bergmann (1861-1936). It also carries the inscription "Geschützt" followed by patent numbers 6428 or 6429 (to be deciphered). Finally there is the stamp "KF" inscribed in a diamond, which are the initials of Karl Fehrman, bronze dealer for Bergmann and who subsequently took over the management of the foundry. The piece is in excellent condition. Time has left its mark. It features a magnificent polychromy, very well preserved, produced according to the cold-painting technique. Magnificent and exceptional realistic artistic sculpture; the iridescent colors of the plumage and the fine details of the duck’s silhouette are breathtaking, such as the feet, the eyes, or the webbed feet of the waterfowl. See the numerous photos that are an integral part of the description. An object of remarkable quality. Dimensions: 23 x 10 x 18 cm. Weight: 2 kilograms. Attention to collectors and lovers of fine art and decorative objects. Fast and careful shipping with insurance.
