Frantz Jardel pursues in his works the feelings and moments of life, a part of the observation and perception of the world around him. His works are often playful and convey a touch of humor, but also critical statements that the viewer is encouraged to think about behind the scenes. Often, his canvases are treated with a sharp brush, or fine lines appear as large characters on the canvas, and his work is sprinkled with a communicative power. There is an immediate message in each painting despite, or perhaps because of, their random and spontaneous compositions. He paints very colorful characters and situations because his inner world is in perpetual and constant motion. His inspiration came from Jean-Michel Basquiat, but he is also impressed by Julian Schnabel, Jackson Pollock, or the South Korean Joey Unlee for his relation to matter. With "Peace Process", I confront the violence of war with symbols of peace. The military silhouettes with floral faces, the dove and inscriptions cross each other in a composition saturated with reds, oranges and yellows. Acrylic, pastels and spray paint give the canvas the raw energy of a wall covered with messages. Between irony and revolt, I question the contradiction between peace discourse and the reality of conflicts, while leaving room for hope.
