o Reserve Price Francis Bacon – Seated Figure The work presents a male figure lying on a bench inside an abstract domestic space, defined by clear color fields and an essential perspectival construction. The body is deformed, almost liquefied, with the face contracted in a grimace that recalls the central themes of Bacon's poetics: suffering, instability, and loss of identity. The rigidity of the architectural surroundings amplifies the contrast with the figure's fragility. The composition is typical of Francis Bacon's exploration of the human body as a field of emotional and psychological tension. The figure, isolated and vulnerable, appears trapped in a real “visual cage,” one of the artist's most recognizable formal devices. Warm, earthy tones, interrupted by cooler color fields, help create an atmosphere of discomfort and suspension. It is a work of strong impact, capable of dominating space and standing out as a visual and conceptual focal point. It is particularly suited for contemporary art collections, representative environments, or curatorially oriented spaces where dialogue with the observer is direct and free of decorative mediations. Original lithograph derived from an iconic Francis Bacon subject, representative of his most mature and instantly recognizable production. A work of great expressive intensity, highly valued by collectors for its historical significance and the emotional power of the image.
