France 1955 - Deville - uniform gray color

Mint with original gum. In perfect condition! This is a rare variety listed in the Maury catalog and the specialized Cérès France Variétés catalog. This variety occurs exclusively in the first column of the sheet. Often only the shoulder is gray, but it also happens that for all stamps in the first column the dark blue color is completely absent. This results in a predominantly gray impression. This variety is also known as ‘gris unicolore’, as seen in this beautiful specimen. Catalogue price: €630

Estimate:$1.12
