Fr. 752. 1918 $2 Federal Reserve Bank Note. New York. PMG About Uncirculated 53 EPQ. This Friedberg Number is defined by the New York issuing district and features the Elliott - Burke - Hendricks - Strong that was current around 1920. The all-important back design depicts the USS New York (BB-34) which was built at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and served with distinction during both the Great War and Second World War before falling victim to atomic testing in the late 1940s. In all, this example is an utterly original and boasts wide margins, bright paper, and breathtaking color that will undoubtedly be appreciated. The last couple of notes we have sold at this grade level managed to transcend the four-figure threshold with aplomb thanks to our bidders and this lightly circulated example should easily find a happy new home once the hammer falls at the end of the bidding process. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500. Click here for certification details from PMG.
