Fr. 2306*. 1935A $1 North Africa Emergency Star Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. No doubt an improbable survivor among its peers. This note is not merely another a fortunate survivor, but alas a rarity seldom seen at this level of preservation that also represents a seldom seen Replacement. Graded Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ by the likes of PMG, the very nature of this note is hard to understate with regards to the quality it represents in technical terms. Crisp margins serve to frame the engraved portion of the design while simultaneously demonstrating a degree of centering consistent with the grade assigned. Likewise, the yellow-blue Treasury overprint is both bold and crisp and offers a fine contrast against the engraved elements of this well-known composition leaving little in the way of doubt that this note is of a premium quality and something not to be missed by bidders. Estimate: $3,000 - $4,000. Click here for certification details from PMG.
