Fr. 2300*. 1935A $1 Hawaii Emergency Star Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.

A Lovely Gem Replacement Hawaii Emergency Note Fr. 2300*. 1935A $1 Hawaii Emergency Star Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. A rare note by any measure that is seldom found at this grade level. Bidders have here a noted opportunity for their consideration that's effortlessly reflected by this note's position in the PMG Population Report. Outdone by only three notes at PMG, this example is still a great rarity where the rarity of individual opportunities must also be recognized. Between the unrelenting humidity and moisture of the Pacific Theater and the fact that condition-focused collectors tend to hold these notes tight make this an opportunity that frankly makes the figures recorded by various population reports little more than "suggestions" that fail to adequately strike at the rarity of this item. This held together with the trappings of the grade assigned and the fact this note appears "fresh" from a Honolulu safe deposit box that has not been opened since the 1940s, it takes little to reason that this is truly an opportunity to be had by the discerning specialist with the means to match their sophistication. Estimate: $4,000 - $6,000. Click here for certification details from PMG.
