Fr. 2201-Bdgs. 1934 Dark Green Seal $500 Federal Reserve Note. New York. PMG About Uncirculated 53. Anchored by a number of design elements that may bewilder the layman of 2026. Collectors will nonetheless recognize the familiar elements of an ever-popular denomination that was discontinued in the 1940s. Here the portrait of William McKinley complements and contrasts elements such as the Treasury overprint while rich detail is brought to form throughout the design including elements such McKinley's portrait and a variety of counters seen on both sides of the design. In all, the collector has much to appreciate when its come to this lightly handled example from the New York district issued under the Series of 1934. Estimate: $3,000 - $4,000.
