Fr. 2201-B. 1934 Dark Green Seal $500 Federal Reserve Note. New York.

Fr. 2201-B. 1934 Dark Green Seal $500 Federal Reserve Note. New York. PCGS Banknote About Uncirculated 53. Circulated only lightly by virtue of the grade assigned. This $500 Federal Reserve Note from the New York district which was issued under the Series of 1934 is nothing short of a premium example when held against its evenly circulated peers. Here bold color and exquisite detail speak to not only inherent eye appeal, but also the skills of period engravers and the visual distinctiveness of this denomination that was last produced in 1945. Yet to consider this note solely through a numismatic lens fails to account for a purely human angle where the innate desirability of this denomination is hard to discount in the eyes of collectors. Estimate: $3,000 - $4,000. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.
