Fr. 1909-G. 1977 $1 Federal Reserve Note. Chicago. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. Solid Serial Number. At a glance, it becomes clear why this $1 Federal Reserve Note was deliberately saved and never saw any time circulating through commercial channels by virtue of a solid serial number that reads "G22222222C." These solid serial number notes are always very popular even amongst non-collectors because they make for such an impressive presentation in visual terms. Yet what makes this note special is that many solid serial number $1 Federal Reserve Notes represent much more common series imprints from the 1990s and 2000s. By contrast, examples from the 1960s through the 1980s like this one are much harder to locate in relative terms. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500. Click here for certification details from PMG.
