Fr. 1090*. 1914 $100 Federal Reserve Star Note. New York. PMG Very Fine 25 Net. Repaired. A noted rarity even with a comment that states "Repaired." This evenly circulated Replacement $100 Federal Reserve Note issued under the Burke - Houston signature combination during the early 1920s will always remain a noted rarity regardless of the faults mentioned by PMG. Today Track & Price records only five surviving Replacements for this Friedberg Number and this particular example still offers much that can be appreciated. Here one may behold a distinct degree of eye while the impetus behind the "Repaired" comment could perhaps be mitigated by the specialist with the right skills making this a relative bargain at our estimate that's not to be missed by the astute specialist who values both rarity and thrift. PMG comments "Repaired." Estimate: $3,000 - $5,000. Click here for certification details from PMG.
