All auctions / Furniture, Design & Mirrors / Four-door Asturian-Leonese cupboard - 17th century.

Descriptio Carved chestnut wood. Measures 195 x 93 x 48 cm. Vertical cupboard with deep-relief geometric and vegetal decoration. The upper doors feature turned balusters and a triangular pediment. The ornamental repertoire, with scrolls and interlaced ribbon motifs, suggests a Leonese or Asturian-Leonese origin. The quality of the carving and the original patina give great historical and artistic value to this domestic piece, which is both popular and refined in character. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
