Fornasetti - Piero Fornasetti - Table - Sole - Metal

Low coffee table model “Sole” produced by Fornasetti (Milan, IT) in the 1990s. It concerns only the top part, the underlying support is missing. Easily usable also as an elegant piece of furniture or a tray. In the center is depicted a stylized sun face in black and white, surrounded by geometric rays, floral decorations, palmette elements and an outer frame with a Greek key motif (meander greco). The depiction is a typical example of the surreal, classical and theatrical imagery of Piero Fornasetti, which unites mythological elements and decorations inspired by antiquity in a modern key. Lacquered metal construction. The conditions are rather poor due to a severe lacquer defect along the edge, as can be seen in the photos. The front is in good condition with some signs of wear, but these do not affect the quality. On the edge there are other small scratches, all evident in the photos. Shipping will be carried out by traceable courier.
