A ball used during a match at the 1938 World Cup. It bears the inscription ‘Officiel’ as well as the markings ‘Coupe du Monde’, ‘Allen’ and ‘FFF’. The yellow lace is not the original one. Some signs of wear. A historic ball made from genuine dark brown cowhide leather, comprising 13 panels assembled and hand-stitched. This model features the characteristic opening with cotton laces allowing access to the inner bladder. This model is of major historical significance as it is the very first ball in the history of the World Cup to bear the manufacturer’s official mark (“Allen”), making the 1938 tournament in France a turning point in sports marketing.
