Fog & Mørup - Jo Hammerborg - Wall lamp - Pastel - Steel

Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup – Pastel wall lamp model – Danish Design – 1960s Rare original Pastel wall lamp, designed by the renowned Danish designer Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in the 1960s. A characteristic example of Danish Modern, where functionality and a clear minimalist form come together. The wall lamp is finished in light gray painted metal and features a clean geometric design. The square wall plate is equipped with the original on/off switch and carries a slender metal arm with the characteristic cylindrical lamp housing. The combination of straight lines and the round cylinder gives the Pastel model its recognizable and timeless look. On the back there is still the original blue-and-white F&M – Made in Denmark factory label, confirming production by the well-known Danish lighting manufacturer Fog & Mørup. The square wall plate measures 10 × 10 cm, the cylindrical lamp housing has a diameter of 7.2 cm and the total depth from the wall is approximately 23 cm. The length is 13 cm. The weight is 719 grams. The lamp is supplied with cord and plug and is in authentic vintage condition. There are visible signs of use and aging appropriate for its age. These are clearly visible in the photos and have intentionally not been removed, so the lamp’s original character has been preserved. A relatively rare and special Fog & Mørup Pastel model, of interest to collectors and enthusiasts of Jo Hammerborg, Danish Modern, Mid-Century and Scandinavian lighting from the 1960s. I’m adding a few examples showing a lampshade placed on it that is not sold with the piece and is used only as a photo prop.
