Up for auction is an iconic German design classic: an original stackable chair from the quality brand Flötotto, equipped with the famous ergonomic Pagholz seating shell (model number: 6.5186-1). These chairs were, among others, designed in collaboration with the well-known designer Adam Stegner and stand for the perfect symbiosis of indestructible material and elegant mid-century styling. The seating shell is made of Pagholz (Pagwood) – an extremely durable, resin-impregnated and high-pressure-pressed plywood. The curved four-legged frame made of chrome-plated steel tubing allows practical and space-saving stacking of the chairs. Objektdaten im Überblick: • Hersteller: Flötotto (Deutschland) • Modellnummer: 6.5186-1 (marked on the underside) • Material: Pagholz (beech plywood/resin), chrome-plated steel tubing • Epoche: ca. 1960s – 1980s • Farbe: Deep dark brown / rosewood look with a pronounced reddish-black grain; frame in silver (chrome) • Abmessungen (ca. in cm): • Gesamthöhe: 79 cm • Sitzhöhe: 45 cm (standard adult size) • Breite (footprint): 48 cm • Tiefe: 51 cm Zustand: The chair is in a very good, ready-to-use vintage condition with beautiful patina. The Pagholz seating shell shines excellently and shows only minimal, age-appropriate signs. The chrome frame is absolutely stable and firm; it shows some surface rust and minor abrasion due to age, which can be polished away easily if desired. The original light-colored plastic floorProtectors are completely intact. Please review the detailed photos closely; they are an explicit part of the condition description.
