All auctions / Lighting / Flos - Achille Castiglioni
The Parentesi lamp is an icon of Italian design: a visual and functional tension between floor and ceiling, thanks to a steel cable between ceiling and floor (useful length 4000 mm) on which a tubular steel segment is slid, painted black or nickel-plated. The head of the fixture, made from white injected elastomer, is orientable and slides along the cable, offering maximum flexibility of use. In the dimmable version, an electronic dimmer is mounted on the cable, allowing stepwise adjustment of light intensity. This piece perfectly fuses aesthetics, function and technology — a masterpiece signed Castiglioni & Manzù — and is produced by Flos, a leading company in lighting made in Italy. Conditions: new, never used, still packed Age: contemporary production Material: tubular steel painted black + steel cable + elastomer head Origin: Italy Color: black Useful cable length / adjustable height: max 4000 mm (i.e., up to ~4 m) Diameter / base of floor cover: about Ø 110 mm / head diameter ~Ø 110 mm Lamp base: E27 Designers: Achille Castiglioni & Pio Manzù Manufacturer: Flos ***Important note: THE BULB IS NOT INCLUDED, Flos provides it separately.***
