All auctions / Arts & Graphics / Flora, allegory of spring. Italian School. 18th century

Descriptio Oil on panel. Dimensions: 36 x 28 cm (41.5 x 34 x 2.5 cm with frame). Depiction of Flora, goddess of flowers, seated among garlands in a luminous landscape. The loose brushstrokes and warm colors reflect the Rococo style of mid-18th-century Italian painting. The idealized figure, with its classical anatomy and melancholic expression, evokes the allegorical world of fertility and rebirth. Inventory number “343” on the reverse. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
