First-Class Vintage Ring With Ruby & Diamonds in White Gold, Italy c. 1975

A precious ruby shines in the center of this ring. Weighing almost two carats, the stone is deep red with a hint of purple. The stone is very clear and the entire body of the ruby seems to glow in the light. The design of the ring surrounds the ruby with twelve first-class diamonds. The stones, which are not too small, are arranged on different levels around the stone as if in a dance. However, although their arrangement appears to move up and down, the shape they form as a frame around the ruby is just as clear: The oval of the ruby thus becomes a crystalline rhombus. The ring made of high-carat white gold was created in Italy by hand, as the details of the perfectly crafted piece reveal. We not only liked the precious features, but also the fact that the ring, although not small and certainly present, lies quite flat on the finger and is therefore comfortable and pleasant to wear. We have had an independent expert appraisal drawn up on the ring's materials. It is enclosed with the ring. We discovered this beautiful work from the 1970s here in Berlin.
