Fine Vintage White Gold Ring With Ruby & Diamonds, Germany ca. 1975

This 1970s ring showcases an oval ruby accompanied by two brilliant cut diamonds. Cool, high-carat white gold sets the stones with sturdy prongs and raises them high above the finger, allowing plenty of light to bring the stones to life. The prongs simultaneously form the ring shank in the extension and bundle into a stable band at the height of the ring shoulder. Rubies are among the most precious gemstones. One colour in particular is considered to be a sign of quality: an intense red with a tinge of bluish, known as dove's blood, is considered to be the most valuable. The ruby in this ring shows a beautiful colour. It weighs about 1.10 carats and is very transparent, with no objectionable inclusions diminishing its quality. An independent certificate has confirmed the value of the ruby and the ring's materials. It comes with the jewel. We discovered the ring here in Berlin. Its reduced, architectural design allows us to date it to around 1975. It is very well preserved and a perfect gift in the colour of love.
