Figurine - Exclusieve Creatieve Vintage Kokeshi-pop...

A magnificent piece of Japanese woodcarving: An authentic, creative vintage Sosaku Kokeshi doll titled "Nogiku" (野菊), meaning "Wild Chrysanthemum." This masterpiece is handcrafted by the highly gifted and respected kokeshi master Masashi Takeda (1930–2015), from Yamagata Prefecture. Takeda won numerous national prizes in Japan during his brilliant career for his unique designs. Features and Craftsmanship: • Unique Woodcarving: This doll shines through its use of beautiful, dark-colored wood with a deep, vivid grain. Chrysanthemum motifs are carved with utmost precision around the body, creating a stunning tangible relief. • Minimalist Design: The face is serene and restrained with delicate, closed eyes, framed by a characteristic, perfectly rounded coiffure that is typical of Takeda’s finest work. • Includes Original Box: This lot includes the highly rare, original cardboard storage box (Tomobako). The box bears the original kanji characters with the title of the work ("Nogiku") and the artist's official signature. Condition: The kokeshi doll is in excellent vintage condition. The wood retains a beautiful, warm sheen. There are no large cracks or deep damages. The original box shows light signs of age (see photos), which is inherent to its age and adds to its authentic character. When shipping within the European Union, there are no customs duties! The item will be carefully packed and shipped. Please note that the packaging has been done by a private individual rather than a professional service, so perfect packaging quality cannot be guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.
