All auctions / Ethnographic / Fiery natural carnelian-agate hearts with a fascinating drawing- 2002.07

These three beautiful carnelian heart carvings captivate with an intense play of color: bright orange, vivid red, and warm rust and brown tones. Transparent to translucent areas alternate with cloudy textures, fine banding, and lively mineral inclusions. Particularly appealing are the small natural cavities and crystalline patches that have remained between the highly polished surfaces. Each heart thus has its own unique pattern and, depending on the light, looks different again. Metaphysically, carnelian is traditionally associated with joy of life, vitality, and energy. It is believed to strengthen motivation and self-confidence and to provide new energy for changes and personal goals. Stand not included.
