Signed by the artist at the bottom The work is presented unframed Good condition Dimensions of the work: 60 cm high x 81 cm wide Artist biography: Félix Martín (Granada, 1955) is a Spanish landscape painter whose work stands out for his mastery in capturing the dazzling light of the south, the freshness of Andalusian courtyards, and the lyricism of Mediterranean gardens through a distinctly Post-Impressionist language. Style and Artistic Characteristics: The style of Martín is characterized by chromatic lyricism and a vibrant execution that transforms everyday corners into poetic refuges of light and vegetation: • Filtered light and contrasts: His great obsession is the behavior of sunlight passing through the canopies of trees. He is a master at creating golden "sun spots" on the ground, which contrast with violet, mauve, and very intense blue shadows, contributing a warm, summery atmosphere. • Impasto and expressive brushwork: He uses an oil-on-canvas technique with loose, short brushstrokes loaded with body (often applying oil with a palette knife). He does not seek defined outlines, but the vibrancy of color so that the viewer's eye reconstructs the scene. • Lush nature: His compositions integrate the typical whitewashed architecture of Andalusia with lush vegetation. He stands out for his ability to paint flowers (such as geraniums, bougainvillea, and daisies) not as individual elements, but as abstract masses of vivid color that speckle the canvas with dynamism.
