First edition of this memoir published under the pseudonym Faty, who describes herself as a “professional dominatrix” for the past twenty years. An autobiographical account devoted to the sadomasochistic scene, in which the author recounts her experience as a dominatrix, the practices of her clients, and the ritualized relationships between mistress and submissive. The book reads less like erotic fiction and more like a firsthand account of a world that was still largely underground at the time. This publication is particularly noteworthy for the collaboration between Jean-Jacques Pauvert—the historic publisher of Sade and a key figure in 20th-century French erotic publishing—and Éditions Ramsay. Cover design by V.-P. Angouillant. ISBN 2-85956-954-5. Completed/publication date listed as 08/91. List price: 89 F. Good copy.
