Farrère - Mes Voyages

A valuable original edition of this work by Claude Farrère (1876-1957), in one of the rare copies printed on luxury paper in a limited and numbered edition, with a refined amateur binding. Copy no. 110, belonging to the prestige edition limited to only 300 numbered copies on fine Papier de Hollande paper (numbered from 36 to 335). Claude Farrère, Mes voyages: La promenade d'Extrême-Orient, Paris, Ernest Flammarion, 1924. Pp.: (II), 284, (II). COMPLETE. The copy with leaves in very good condition. The original publisher's softcover is preserved inside (not the spine). The margins are still in the original untrimmed state, with the characteristic alternation of gatherings with margins deliberately wider and others with narrower margins, typical of manual trimming of paper in fine editions not machine-cut. Elegant and refined contemporary amateur binding, "a becco" in half leather with corners. The boards in heavily protruding marbled paper protect the fore-edges and are shaped to curve inward with a beak-like profile. Marbled endpapers, preserved silk bookmark. Gilt top edge.
