The marble displays rich shades of green, ranging from soft grey-green to deep, almost black tones. Its natural veining and mottled patterns give the polished surface depth and individual character. An applied gold-coloured ribbon and bow decorate the front of the egg, complementing the warm golden finish of the stand. The stand’s scalloped details, textured decoration and curved feet create an elaborate setting for the smoothly shaped stone. The House of Fabergé stand originally accompanied a different egg and has now been paired with this Franklin Mint marble egg. The two components were not originally issued together as a set. They are offered here as an individually arranged decorative ensemble. The lot includes the marble egg and the stand shown in the photographs.
