A distinctive sculptural pouring vessel, likely hand-formed stoneware, executed in a characteristic turquoise-green glaze with dark brown and black speckles. The object has a striking architectural form with a rectangular, slightly flared body, a tall central filling opening, a slanted pouring spout, and a robust loop-shaped handle. The glaze shows beautiful color nuances and a lively, slightly rough texture. The interior is smoothly finished and has a warm brownish color. The design recalls Modernist and Brutalist studio ceramics from the second half of the 20th century, probably circa 1960–1985. The exact dating and provenance have not been established. Specifications Material: presumably stoneware, glazed Condition: excellent condition, fully intact, without chips, cracks, or restorations Manufacturer/Ceramist: unknown Period: probably 1960–1985 Origin: unknown Height: 20.5 cm Weight: 767 g Marking: unclear black mark on the unglazed underside A particularly decorative and sculptural ceramic object with a bold, asymmetrical form.
