Title: Summer Light ㅤ School: European Impressionist School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Mediterranean Impressionism ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas ㅤ Condition: Good overall state of conservation, with slight signs in keeping with its age. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The work belongs to the Mediterranean Impressionist tradition of the 20th century, characterized by the direct depiction of rural landscapes under intense light. The broad and material brushwork and the use of greenish greys, blues and earthy tones bring the painting close to post-impressionist languages and to Spanish outdoor painting. ㅤ Arid-looking rural landscape where several groups of prickly pears occupy the foreground, accompanied by stone walls and low vegetation. In the upper part, several tree masses silhouette against a bright sky. The execution is loose and direct, with thick brushstrokes that build the plants and the irregularities of the terrain through chromatic contrasts. ㅤ White frame with straight lines accompanied by a broad, beige, fabric-textured interspace, in an aesthetic characteristic of the mid-20th century. ㅤ Observations: The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging.
