Title: Portrait of a Peasant Woman ㅤ School: Realist School (19th century) ㅤ Style: Academic Realism ㅤ Technique: Charcoal on paper ㅤ State: Condition of conservation in line with its age. It presents restorations. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The work responds to the academic tradition of the nineteenth-century portrait, where drawing was a fundamental discipline. The delicate modeling of the face, the precision of the features and the use of soft tonal gradations show influence from European Neoclassical and Romantic portrait. ㅤ Three-quarter bust portrait, depicted with the gaze directed to the side. The young woman has her hair gathered and adorned with vegetal elements and flowers, as well as a wide headdress that descends along the back. The face is delicately modeled through soft charcoal transitions, paying particular attention to the eyes, the nose and the curls of the hair. ㅤ It is presented in a dark wooden frame with straight, contemporary lines, accompanied by a wide light mat that protects and enhances the drawing. ㅤ Observations: The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will request photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excess dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will in no case cover this surcharge. ㅤ The courier that must pass through the Swiss border may delay much more than usual, so, if possible to speed up processing, we will provide the Customs number that is holding the shipment so that the client can unlock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments it is possible that the order is delayed more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging. ㅤ Dimensions: 42 × 31 cm Dimensions with frame: 60 × 50 cm
