Escuela Impresionista Europea (XX) - Masía rural

Title: Rural Farmhouse ㅤ School: European School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Landscape impressionism ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas ㅤ State: Condition of conservation in line with its age, with possible signs of aging. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: A work stylistically related to the European impressionist landscape tradition and, especially, to the Catalan school of plein air painting. Its treatment of atmosphere and rural structures shows affinities with the pictorial sensibility of Joaquim Mir and with the proposals of the Catalan landscape painters who cultivated an spontaneous and luminous interpretation of the natural surroundings during the 20th century. ㅤ The composition represents a small set of rural buildings surrounded by trees and vegetation. A dirt road runs through the foreground and leads to a farmhouse partially hidden among the trees, while a taller building is distinguished in the background, wrapped in a bluish atmosphere. ㅤ The work stands out for its use of a predominantly green, blue-gray and earthy palette, which provides chromatic unity to the whole. The loose and fragmented brushwork simplifies architectural details and gives special prominence to atmospheric effects and to the vegetation. ㅤ The ensemble conveys a sense of rural tranquility, evoking traditional landscapes of the interior Mediterranean. ㅤ It is presented with a wide wooden frame in dark brown tones, complemented by a wide light-colored fabric mat and gilded inner moldings. It includes a small decorative plaque at the bottom, creating a classic and elegant presentation. ㅤ Observations: The work may incur damages during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will require photographs of the defects to proceed with compensation.
