She is the daughter of Jean-Louis-Paul-François de Noailles, Duke of Ayen, and Henriette-Anne-Louise d’Aguesseau. She married in 1783 Joachim-Charles-Louis de Montagu-Beaune, Marquis of Montagu. Her life is profoundly marked by the Revolution: - She belongs to the high nobility of Louis XVI’s court; - Her family was severely affected by the Revolution; - She experienced emigration and then the difficulties of returning to France; - During the Terror, she was imprisoned in the Luxembourg with several women of her family. The archives of the Senate explicitly list her among the detainees. She survived the Revolution and then resumed a family and social life under the Consulate, the Empire, and the Restoration.
