ERASME The Praise of Folly Paris, For a group of bibliophiles, 1946 In-4 (33cm x 25.5cm) of 187-[2] pages. Limited edition of 33 numbered copies, of which 2 copies on Holland laid paper, 28 copies on Rives teinté and 3 copies for collaborators. In sheets under printed and bound wrapper, full levant binding blind-stamped and with a bound case. The work is illustrated with wood-engraved, painted figures and printed by Maurice L’HOIR, including 18 hors-texte. One of the 5 numbered copies containing a suite in the second state, this one no. 10, enriched with an original signed watercolor (22cm x 16cm). Spine of the wrapper slightly rubbed, cover browned at the margins, some foxing, very good copy.
