He subsequently played for the first team, notably alongside internationals Olivier Milloud, Sébastien Chabal, Lionel Nallet, and Julien Bonnaire. In 2006, he left Isère to join Castres Olympique. There, he reunited with Lionel Nallet, with whom he competed for a place in the second row for both club and French national team positions. After a season marked by a disappointing 11th-place finish with Castres and his omission from the World Cup squad, he joined Stade Français Paris. A French champion with the club in 2015, he remained there until his retirement in 2017, before joining the club's management team.
