Key Specifications • Year: 2013 • Finish: Pelham Blue • •Maple Body •Gloss Finish •Mahogany Neck •Rosewood Fretboard •SlimTaper D Neck Profile •24.75" Scale Length •1.68" Nut Width •Dot Inlays Condition & Performance • Playability: Smooth fret action, low action setup, and rock-solid tuning stability via Grover Rotomatic tuners. • Tone: Versatile enough for crystal-clear jazz chords, gritty blues bends, and roaring classic rock leads. • Includes: Original hard shell case Info: The serial number 13041502423 decodes to show that your guitar was built in April 2013 at the Qingdao factory in China. It was stamped as the 2,423rd instrument in that month's production sequence Knowing that your guitar is the PRO version with coil-splitting confirms that you own a specific, highly-regarded instrument from a limited production run. [1, 2] The exact model name on the inner orange F-hole label often reads "Dot ES-339" or "Dot 339" because Epiphone historically categorized their basic semi-hollow "Dot" archtop line together. However, the "PRO" hardware upgrades completely change how the instrument functions. [1, 2, 3, 4] Pickup & Wiring Details Your 2013 model is equipped with Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers. The coil-splitting feature functions via a push/pull system built into the volume knobs: [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] • Knobs Pushed In: The guitar operates as a standard humbucker, delivering a fat, warm, and creamy rock or jazz tone. • Knobs Pulled Up: The wiring cuts out one of the internal coils of the humbucker. This transforms the pickup into a single-coil, giving you a bright, snappy, "P-90 style twang". You can split the neck and bridge pickups independently to mix and match single-coil and humbucker tones. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] The 2013 "TV Pelham Blue" Limited Edition Run The "TE" finish code means your guitar belongs to Epiphone's Limited Edition TV Pelham Blue Collection, which launched in April 2013. [1] • Unlike a standard glossy metallic Pelham Blue, the "TV" version is sprayed as a thinner coat over the wood. • This allows the natural, shifting texture of the maple body grain to subtly peek through the metallic paint, similar to how vintage 1950s "TV Yellow" finishes were applied. • Epiphone restricted production of this specific ES-339 PRO finish to a limited run of approximately 1,000 pieces worldwide.
