Circa 1885/1895, 20x26 cm. "Seamstresses", a very beautiful portrait by one of the pioneers of the so-called Yokohama school, before Kuzakabe Kimbei, whose signatures were either absent or manifested by archival numbers rather than captioned banners. Superb period albumen print with watercolor highlights, with excellent preservation of contrasts, colors and fine detail, mounted on a thin cardboard backing. Museum-quality.
