"Reading", a very beautiful portrait by one of the pioneers of the Yokohama school, before Kuzakabe Kimbei, whose signature was either absent or manifested by archival numbers rather than captioned banners. A very beautiful and rare free and non-mounted albumen print from the period, with subtle watercolor touches, in very good condition with preserved contrasts, colors, and levels of detail.
