Circa 1885/1895, 20x26 cm. "In bed", a very beautiful portrait by one of the pioneers of the so-called Yokohama School, predating Kuzakabe Kimbei, whose signatures were either absent or manifested as archive numbers rather than captioned strips. Superb vintage albumen print with watercolor retouching, with excellent preservation of contrasts, colors and levels of detail, mounted on a thin cardboard backing. Museum-quality.
