Elemental III by Katja Wittmer Painting 31.5 x 23.5 :: Elemental III- Fire and Air showing a unique dynamic interplay of shape movement and colour. Her technique incorporates dripping paint thick textures and multi-layered colours. Katja Wittmer uses these materials to create many layers covering and uncovering offering a glimpse into what lingers underneath. Using this technique she creates unique works of abstract expressionism which challenge the boundaries of perception. Playing with form texture and abstraction Katja Wittmer develops the wonderful complexity of colour -in an interplay that extends through several layers she achieves a unique and highly individual compositional power creating her own unmistakable style of abstract modern art.
