Edgar Allan (= Allan) Poe: The Fall of the House of Usher; with 10 aquatints by Alexandre Alexeïeff, Maastricht, The Halcyon Press, A.A.M. Stols, 1930. Bound in green cloth with gold tooling, 68 pages. Printed in an edition of 325 copies on handmade Dutch paper from Pannekoek & Co.; this is number 134. On the title page the author’s name is misspelled: the word 'Allan' appears as 'Allen'. The aquatints by Alexeïeff are the same as those used in 1929 for the French edition with Baudelaire’s translation. This explains the French text surrounding the frontispiece. The aquatints are protected with parchment interleaves; some of them are loose (including the one between the title page and the frontispiece).
