Early Dudley Island Club Goose

Knotts Island, Virgina, circa 1940s, carved and painted wood. Length 21 in. x 11 x 8 Formerly in the collection of Bud Coppedge. Purchased from the estate of the last living member of the Dudley Island Club. The Dudley Island Shooting Club was located in the middle of some of the most sought after puddle duck and goose shooting marshes on the Outer Banks. Linwood Dudley would have been caretaker of the club during the time this decoy was made. Original paint, stable neck crack, wear to the tip of the bill.
