Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceattas (4), Primary Series C, bust right, chevron and two annulets behind, trace of runes before face, rev. beaded standard containing tt ii arranged around central annulet, 1.15g/9h (Abramson 4-30; S 779); Continental series E, porcupine-like figure, curve of body enclosing four limbs, rev. standard with ‘ttii’ arranged around central annulet, 1.02g (Abramson 94-10; S 790); another similar, 0.90g (S 790); Secondary series H, type 49, facing head of Wodan on oval boss, border of seven roundels around, rev. stylised peacock advancing right, rosette below head, 0.79g/1h (Abramson 48-920; 801A); together with base metal Iron Age coins (2) [6]. Fair to nearly very fine, the fourth of rather base fabric and with some edge chips £300-£400.
