Artist: E. Stefano Year: 2014 Medium: Acrylic and spatula on canvas Painting signed and dated at the bottom right and accompanied by a paper certificate of authenticity handwritten by the artist. Description of the work: Fascinating and textural still life in a contemporary style, entitled "Abstract Still Life." The work reinterprets a classical art theme through a strong abstract and geometric sensibility, where the forms of everyday objects blend harmoniously with the background. The composition features a selection of bottles of various shapes, terracotta jugs, a bowl, and a cluster of grapes, laid on a surface partially covered by a white drapery. The spatula technique gives the painting a rich tactile texture, creating reliefs and vibrant textures that catch the light in a dynamic way. The color palette is dominated by warm earth tones—from burnt umber to ochre—interrupted and enhanced by bold accents of dark blue and slate gray on the bottles, and the pure white of the fabric in the foreground, which adds depth and a strong geometric contrast to the entire scene.
