E. García - Mansión amarilla XL

Yellow Mansion is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. This painting presents a luminous architectural milieu with a Mediterranean or colonial air, surrounded by palm trees, bougainvillea, and exuberant vegetation. The façade, rendered in intense yellows and oranges, opens onto a patio with a swimming pool, steps and balustrades, creating a scene of calm, elegance, and outdoor living. The dome of the building and the ornamental details lend a stately character, while the vegetation introduces freshness, shade, and movement. The composition combines architectural landscape, garden, and outdoor scene through a loose and expressive brushstroke. The contrast between the deep blue of the sky and the water, the oranges of the walls, and the dark greens of the plants places the work within a sensibility close to Fauvism, Post-Impressionism, and the tradition of the modern Mediterranean landscape. The emotional use of color recalls Henri Matisse and Raoul Dufy, especially in the way they transform architecture and nature into luminous, decorative surfaces full of rhythm. Echoes of David Hockney can also be perceived in the presence of the pool, the spatial clarity, and the interest in leisure and rest places. However, the work incorporates a warmer and more ornamental atmosphere, linked to the courtyards of Southern Europe, North Africa, or the Caribbean. The bougainvillea in the foreground and the tall palms frame the view as if it were a secret garden, while the central door guides the eye toward the interior of the mansion and adds narrative depth. Yellow Mansion celebrates sunny architecture, tropical gardens, and the pleasure of inhabiting open spaces. It is a painting with strong chromatic impact that combines landscape, interior design, and architecture in a contemporary and evocative vision, ideal for collectors interested in figurative painting, Mediterranean villas, gardens, pools, summer scenes, and works with references to Fauvism, modern colorism, and the tradition of decorative landscape.
